From your vision to your windsurfboard made out of wood! (Part 6)

When all the frames and the center rocker of your windsurfboard are processed, the parts are being glued together.

I love to use zip ties to do so. They are easy to use and they can produce enough pressure for this step. And if you buy the ones you can reuse, they are much more cheaper than clamps.

But at some point you will have to use clamps. And as you can see in the background, lots of them, even though these are only half of what I have.

While the glue hardens, I have noticed that my mast rail is 4mm too high. So I need to level it down and of course this is done with a hand plane.

I set up my marking gauge to 4mm and make marks around the mast rail.

Moved a little to fast for the photo, but I guess you can see where it leads.

And afterwards planning it down.

Next step is to cut glue and cut my decks. So I take 8mm Paulownia sheets and cut them to the biggest size of board I can get out of the sheets. That is mostly between 7cm and 12cm.

I made myself a jigg again. Without that jigg it would be hard to get a straigth cut.

The jig is just an old scrap board from an old wardrobe on which I screwed two clamps to secure my Paulownia sheet. And it is ready for a cut.

And at the end it the boards are being glued together and all I can do for now is wait.

To be continued
